Two exclusions to standard poker performed occasionally seen in home games are the double-ace flush rule and the natural wins rule in wild cards in poker. The final rule utters that among hands that would win if not tie the hand with smaller number in the wild cards succeeds. This is not general in casinos and it should be treated as an exemption to standard practice as is the double-ace flush.
There is a leaning between some players to consider wild cards as “impure” or treat wild card games as silly or unprofessional. While it is surely true that a game with too many wild cards will be just accidental, the rare utility of wild cards is an excellent way to include a difference to a game and add chances for skilled play.
In exacting terms, five-card draw is traditionally played with a joker in California which plays as a bug, and as well plays well with deuces completely wild. Seven-card stud plays well with one or two bugs, particularly while played high-low divide.
Other games such as Texas hold ‘em and Omaha hold’em do not play fine with wild cards. For a few players, the difficulty with wild card games is that the conqueror is approximately always the hand with the most wild cards, creating the other cards unrelated, and creating skill less significant.
These wild cards in poker concepts are considered for use very rarely or not at all in the games played by poker puritans.
